I'd prefer that she learn that she's now irreversibly stuck in femme form bc her boss came inside her. The ID badge is now inert and cannot be used to turn her back to her original male form. All that she now has to do is to become accustomed to being Matilda. She'll quickly discover that the rest of the world knows her only as Matilda. To her parents, other family members and friends have only ever known her to be Matilda -- same for her professional network of former colleagues and supervisors at previous jobs as well as old teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, and fellow students at all of her collegiate and K-12 schools. Lastly, there's her list of ex-lovers (all males -- including her current boyfriend, who won't be happy to find out that she'd had sex with her new boss on her interview day)
Would it be possible to tag the female character seen here to one of the existing canon characters, or is she a one-off stand-alone character? She's not Allison, I can tell, but she does remind of one of the less-prominent characters (or a composite of two or three),but I can't quite nail it down
As a power suggestion, perhaps a long-duration battery for off-ship (or beyond-civilization) operations, but while she's within range of a ship or within a city, she receives power more-or-less directly from the ship/city grid ... ? Though the 'emergency backup / year-duration power cell' thing definitely works too. ;)
I actually like the parent more on this one -- the hair and expression there seem more fitting for the story than this does. Just my $0.02 worth, so ignore at will.
Writing all that makes it seem like some huge process. It's way easier than drawing something. But a breakdown of the drawing process is like:
Draw some lines. Color 'em in.
The main bottleneck for AI is the time it takes to generate images. If my computer was infinitely fast, it would only take minutes. As it is now I usually queue up a batch to run when I'm afk, which isn't often.
The first step is to dial in the prompt and settings. I test different models and denoising strengths to see what looks good. Sometimes it has trouble understanding a pose until you give it the right prompt. In this case it understood it fairly well, but specifying hands_on_hips, short_sleeves, and pencil_skirt helped.
Once it starts looking good, I generate a bunch of images with the those settings. Then I piece together the good ones in photoshop and do a little retouching. It's rare for one image to have good everything so I'll take the face from one, the body from another, etc. The hands are usually messed up and have to have parts redrawn.
Then I export the composite image and upscale it 3x. Then I'll do AI inpainting on key parts to high-res-ify them. In this case, her face, her boobs, and her waist. I tried her skirt a couple times but I ended up keeping the original.
The main thing for this one is that I knew it would work since I had already done the prompt testing part at low resolution on my old video card. In general a simple pinup pose like this is easy since there is lots of training data for it. I know that you have a lot of different projects here on SM to divide your time between, and only so much free-time to devote to any one of them at any one time, but I hope to see more issues for this character (at least one) bc the way the inaugural issue ended kinda felt like it was open-ended, that there could be more story to tell than just what was explored in that introductory issue.
