Yeah, she does look like she's checking him out. Notice the sword he's carrying? Compare that to the machine in the first few panels of the first book. It's hard for me to put the two together. That big sphere couldn't have been made (in our world) when swords were effective weapons. But the man wasn't dressed like he was wearing ceremonial clothes, so the juxtaposition of the two is very interesting.
Yes, ENM, Alison is NOT looking into his eyes, is she. Her stare is straight ahead and at her height.... well.... I think she is totally mesmerized by the view and what it might be like to ...
Great artistry and I do love this whole, well-told story. It's captivating!
The facial expressions say soooo much of whats going on in Alisons head. All was as expected (taught)until the last frame (I don't think Melody taught her to be clingy). And Alisons face as she hides behind mistress doesn't look like fear at all. Mistress could be a tad annoyed... Guess we have to wait and see.! Thanks for the great work and story line!
I don't know. I think Mistress looks a little... annoyed? Not quite, but maybe she's wondering why Alison is so clingy. She might have liked the clingyness at first, but maybe she's getting tired of it.
On the other hand, Alison is tiny compared to the figures we've seen, and her sexual transformation had to have been out and out traumatic. Under the circumstances, I'd be clingy, too.
SuspensionOfDisbelief, precisely the scene you're describing occurred in the last 8 pages of Vol 3. It's specifically referenced on page 20 of Vol 4 as one of the reasons the protagonist isn't putting up so much of a fight anymore.
(Also, while I'm commenting, bravo and thanks to the author for sharing this amazing work! :-) )
Thank you for continuing your uniquely stylistic "Chains" collection, now 4-plus volumes, of artistry that superbly blends wonderful renderings, dialog and plot into a well-paced, fantastical journey that entertains on many levels. Cheers!
Maybe it's her new hormones going through her but if my enemy turned me into a girl I wouldn't be so calm and submissive about it. Maybe a scene was needed to explain why she stopped giving up fighting her and slowly accepted her new place in the world.
This was just a concept cover for the bits and pieces of the Lady Link x Gannon comic. The comic does not really have a coherent plot which is why it's in the sketch and bonus galleries instead of the main comic page.
Ooowee! Alison's really getting into rug munching. I can't blame her/him. But maybe she has acquired a certain perspective that I lack. I've always wondered what it would be like to be a woman.
Loved the "training montage" for femininity. A good length of time has passed in between per scene. You, as the artist, kept really good track of it. It's interesting that "Allison" just fell into the groove of it, so easily. Her body, her hair, her eyelashes all show signs of it. Her body has put on more weight. Her eyelashes grew out more. Her hair grew longer. And more subtle changes all do show that "Mistress" was fairly correct in her initial choice. Excellent work.
I like her different dresses. Very nice, if the building has good climate-controls. Not very good if she should happen to go out.
Is that going to happen? Should be interesting to see what the world outside looks like. Might be kind of hard for Alison to contact whatever "Underground" that may exist out there. After all, how could he prove who he is to the Resistance?
So this woman who used to be a man is a natural mimic? Or her physical skills are such that she is adapting very easily. Either suggests that when she was a "he", he was a highly skilled athlete. Probably, since he was a mercenary, he was a very skillful martial artist.
Is that the reason why her manacles haven't been reduced over time? After all, you do suggest that she has been a captive for a while. Or Mistress has used some method to speed up her hair's growth.
I thought that you would. The quality of your work is too good for you to be an amateur. I was particularly impressed with the feelings that Alison was expressing. Her anxiety was delicious in the first part and the total adoration she had in the last part was just plain lovely.
I've seen the wooden models and I doubt that they would be sufficiently flexible for the poses you'd need here. On the other hand, there must be software that could be useful to you.
I have some 3D models that I use for reference. They keep things generally in proportion and help out with perspective and mirror shots especially, but I often make changes to show the things that I want to show. Here I was mainly concentrating on mistress's pose and the penetration action (naturally) and I didn't go back and do a sanity check on Alison's leg positioning.
I also have a blank figma model, which is way better than any of those wooden artist's models I've seen, but I only have one and the proportions and height are standard. Mistress and Alison have a large height difference and slightly supernatural proportions, which makes the 3D models a better option.
Artists often use models, right? It sounds stupid, but there are highly articulated manikins that you can use without hiring somebody. On the other hand, though the picture in question made me wonder as well, the psychology of it is pretty interesting.
Alison's legs in the first panel don't make sense to me. Mistress lying down between her legs and is holding the left leg upright and so she would have to have her weight on the right leg (unless Alison had a 20 inch thigh gap). Alison shouldn't be able to keep the right leg upright too.
