You'd think she'd be a little more wary of double meanings by now. Or maybe she does know, and just deliberately (or subconsciously) chooses the interpretations that get her into this sort of mess.
It's unlikely that Alison will ever meet anyone she knows...anyone who hasn't already been transformed into some monstrous battle beast, anyway. She's deep -- *DEEP* -- in demon-controlled territory right now, and it seems like whatever war is going on, the demons are winning handily. At least, no one sees the need to ask "How goes the war?", so they must be pretty comfortable.
